Jim Raymo, D.Min., grew up in a non-Christian family. During service in the military, he became a Christian through the work of the Navigators. He first learned about missions through his exposure, while in Vietnam, to missionaries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Following college at Bethel University, he spent five years in Europe doing street evangelism and discipleship with other Christian students. Jim and his wife, Judy, have spent the nearly 40 years in missions, mainly in teaching and leadership roles with WEC International. Jim works full time at Bethany Global University, teaching in the undergrad school and directing and teaching in The Center for Graduate Studies – an online Master’s level program. He is also teaches part time at University of Northwestern – St. Paul. He attended Seminary at Regent College in Vancouver and completed a doctoral program in Global and Contextual Leadership at Bethel Seminary. Jim and Judy have seven children and four grandchildren. Their book, Millennials and Mission: A Generation Faces a Global Challenge was published in 2014.
Jim will also be joined by Bethany and Kenneth Freire. Bethany has an MA Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary is the Dean of Women at Bethany Global University. Kenneth has his M.Div. from Regent University and is the Associate Director of the LEAD internship, a 4 month Christian discipleship program with an optional 2 week mission trip that trains young men and women how to be leaders (www.leadintern.com). He is also the Recruiting Director for both the internship and Bethany Global University. The couple has been married for 4 years.
